5- Aditya's nightmare turned into reality

Aditya's pov

The music and dancing filled the hall as the Rajasthani performers entertained the guests. I was talking with some of my business partners when I suddenly heard a loud thud. The crowd quickly gathered, and I turned to see what was happening. As I made my way through the crowd, my heart pounded in my chest. When I reached the stairs, my eyes widened in shock.

"Dadisa!" I screamed, rushing over to her. She was lying on the floor, unconscious. I gently lifted her head and rested it on my lap. Someone handed me a glass of water, and I sprinkled it on her face, but she didn't respond. My heart ached as I called out to her, my throat going dry.

"Everyone, please leave. The party is over" I said after taking a deep breath. The weight of what had just happened made my voice firm, though I struggled to keep calm. I felt hands on my shoulders, guiding people away as the bodyguards started clearing the palace.

But inside, my blood was boiling. I turned to the attendees, my voice sharp with rage.

"Did she eat something she shouldn't have?" I demanded, my eyes burning with anger as I looked at each of them. Their heads hung low, avoiding my gaze. My fists clenched, the veins on my hands and neck bulging as my face flushed with fury, which only grew with every passing second.

"I'll not spare anyone if anything happens to her" I warned, my voice cold and devoid of any sympathy for the staff. My glare lingered on them, making sure they understood the weight of my words before I turned my attention back to Dadisa.

I gently caressed her cheek, my hand trembling slightly as I tried to keep control of my emotions.

"Mr. Choudhary, call the hospital" I ordered, and he quickly pulled out his phone, dialing with urgency.

I leaned closer to her, softly shaking her shoulder. "Dadisa?" I called out again, my voice shaky, but she remained still, unresponsive. A wave of panic started to wash over me, my heart sinking deeper as the reality set in—something was terribly wrong.

"Take my car out!" I roared, and a few bodyguards rushed outside, while others stayed close by. Mr. Choudhary was already on the phone, walking towards the main gate as he spoke.

I carefully picked Dadisa up in my arms, carrying her to her bedroom. I gently placed her on the bed and sprinkled more water on her face, hoping for some sign of response.

"Sir" Mr. Choudhary said urgently as he rushed back into the room. "We have to take her to the hospital."

I nodded without hesitation. Wasting no time, I lifted her again, cradling her in my arms as I exited the palace. Mr. Choudhary and the bodyguards followed closely behind. The driver quickly opened the car door, and I got in, placing Dadisa's head gently on my lap as I sat in the backseat.

"Driver, faster" I urged, my voice tight with worry. He nodded, speeding off as Mr. Choudhary and the others followed in another car.
"Ji, hukum" the driver responded as he started the engine. The car sped through the streets, covering the distance to the hospital in just 20 minutes. The entire journey felt like an eternity. My mind was swirling with fear, my heart racing uncontrollably, and anxious thoughts crept into every corner of my mind.

"Devi Maa, I can't afford to lose my Dadisa. Please save her" I whispered, softly patting her head, hoping for some kind of miracle.

As soon as we reached the hospital, I hurriedly opened the door. The bodyguards helped me carry her out of the car, and within moments, the ward boys arrived with a stretcher. They gently placed her on it, and we rushed inside. The doctors quickly approached, and I looked at them, my voice filled with urgency.

"Doctor, please check on her, she suddenly fainted" I pleaded, my eyes desperate for some hope.

"Rajkumar, aapne kyu takleef ki aane ki, hum bas aa hi rahe the" the doctor said.                       (Prince, why did you bother to come here? We were just coming to the palace)

I looked at him, my voice steady but filled with intensity. "I couldn't wait for you all this time...Her life is everything to me. If you had been late... I don't know what I would've done to this hospital—or your job" I responded truthfully, watching the color drain from their faces as they nervously gulped.

"Ji, take Ranisa to the operation theatre" the doctor ordered the ward boys. They immediately wheeled her away. I stood there, watching as they took her inside, my eyes fixed on her until she disappeared from my sight.

Moments later, the press and media began swarming into the hospital, eager for information. I sighed, the last thing I needed was to deal with them now. Turning to Mr. Choudhary, I instructed, "Mr. Choudhary, please handle that." He nodded, moving swiftly to manage the situation.

I, on the other hand, walked towards the idol of Devi Maa, my heart heavy with prayer and hope.

Mr Choudhary's pov

Badi Ranisa lay unconscious on the hospital bed as the doctors carefully examined her condition. The air around us was thick with tension. I had never seen Prince Aditya this distressed in all my years by his side. For the first time, I saw him pleading, his usual confidence replaced with desperation. It was heartbreaking to witness, and all I could do was silently pray for Badi Ranisa to recover and return to her strong, healthy self.

the man who had never bowed his head, now stood vulnerable, pleading for his grandmother's life. The sight of him in that state stirred a deep sadness within me. I watched as he approached the idol of Devi Maa, kneeling down in front of it, his eyes shut tightly in prayer. His face in total distress, traces of the emotions he was battling.

Moved by the moment, I walked over to him and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. He opened his eyes and looked up at me, his gaze heavy with sorrow.

"Prince, everything will be fine" I said softly, trying to offer him some comfort. Without a word, he stood up and embraced me tightly. I could feel the unease and fear radiating from him as his grip tightened on my shoulders. Gently, I patted his back, hoping my presence would give him even a small sense of relief.

"Son, everything will be fine. Badi Ranisa will be just like before," I said, gently patting his back, trying to offer some reassurance.

"I can't lose her, Mr. Choudhary" he whispered, his voice trembling as he broke the hug.I looked at him, deeply concerned. Seeing him like this, so vulnerable and broken, was something I had never witnessed before. The sight of his tears shook me to my core.

He took a deep breath, trying to gather himself, and gave a small nod before turning towards the window. He stood there, his eyes fixed on Badi Ranisa, checking on her with a heavy heart.

Aditya's pov

I walked to the window, my eyes fixed on Dadisa, hoping for a sign of improvement. Suddenly, the doctors came out of her room.

"P-Prince..." one of them stammered, pausing.

"Speak up" I commanded, my voice cold and hard, but deep inside, fear was beginning to swell.

"Prince, her body... it's not responding" he said hesitantly. The words hit me like a blow, and before I knew it, I grabbed the doctor's coat tightly in my fist.

"What do you mean her body is not responding?" I growled, my rage building. "It is your duty—just do it. Understand?"

Mr. Choudhary quickly intervened, gently loosening my grip on the doctor's collar.

"Prince, we're trying" the doctor replied, his voice trembling with fear.

"Don't try. Make it successful" I demanded, my tone laced with authority.

Mr. Choudhary stepped in, speaking softly. "Prince, please rest. I'll talk to them."

I looked at him, still boiling with anger but too exhausted to argue. Nodding, I turned and walked away, letting him handle the situation as I tried to collect myself.

I called my manager

"Connect me to the best doctors in India. I want their team to come to Udaipur as soon as possible" I instructed firmly.

"Yes, sir," he replied, and within a minute, he called me back.

"I want your best team of cardiologists to reach Udaipur in the next four hours. I'm booking the flights, so make sure all of them are total professionals" I stated straightforwardly, leaving no room for error. The urgency of the situation demanded nothing less than the best.
