Aditya's pov
My eyes flickered open as bright sunlight filled my chamber. I got up from bed and walked to the window. When I opened it, a cool breeze brushed against my face, bringing a smile to my lips. I gazed outside, captivated by the beautiful view of the lakes. I stared at them for a while before returning to my bed.
I glanced at the clock.
"6 AM" I whispered to myself, and moved out of bed to get ready. Today was an important day, the success party for our new project. I had invited everyone: my employees, colleagues, business tycoons, friends, and of course, the press and media.
I headed to the bathing room and took a shower. After 20 minutes, I returned with a towel wrapped around my waist. I went to the dressing room to get ready. I put on a white kurta, a maroon overcoat, and embroidered brown juttis. I fastened my Rolex watch, applied my favorite cologne, and topped it off with my shahi pagdi and sword. I usually don't wear it, but today felt special.
Once I was ready, I left my room wearing a serious expression. The palace was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles, the lights and flames creating a warm glow. As I walked through the galleries, my attendees and bodyguards followed closely behind.I reached the living area, where attendees were rushing around, finishing last-minute preparations for the party.
I was welcomed by the sweet smile of Dadisa
"Adi, you're up and ready so early?" she asked, amusement on her face.
"Ji, Dadisa" I replied, bowing to touch her feet. She blessed me.
"I thought today you'd at least sleep in" she said.
"Dadisa, you know I can't change my routine. Every minute is important, and I don't want to waste time resting," I explained.
"Yeah, yeah, I know who I'm talking to" she replied, shaking her head slightly. I smiled and hugged her. After a moment, she pulled away and said, "By the way, you're looking handsome"
"Thanks for the compliment, Badi Ranisa" I said, kissing the top of her hand. She lightly patted my cheek and smiled.
"My child, I'm so happy today. You finally got the deal that made you skip meals and sleep" she said, worry evident in her voice.
"Dadisa, I'm fine. I'm not weak enough to fall apart just from missing a few meals and some sleep" I reassured her, and she playfully slapped my cheek.
"Why do you always say things like that? I don't like it at all. I know You're an all-rounder, but please don't say things like this" she said.
"I was just joking, Dadisa" I replied, and she hugged me lightly.
"Okay, Mr. Choudhary will be here any minute. I'll go check on everything" I said, breaking the hug. She kissed my forehead, and I smiled at her.
"Do you remember we have to go to Maa Durga's temple for blessings?" she asked.
"Yes, I remember" I replied, and she patted my shoulders before leaving.
I went to check the final preparations. A proud smile crept onto my lips when I heard a voice behind me.
"Good morning, Sir"
"Good morning, Mr. Choudhary" I greeted, hugging him. He looked shocked when I broke the hug, and I smiled.
"You must be wondering what happened to me" I said, and he nodded.
"Well, Mr. Choudhary, we finally got the results of our hard work and you played a major role in this" I continued, feeling proud.
"Yes, sir, thanks to you too. The way you handled everything was impeccable" he said with a smile.
"Without my employees, I'm nothing. They've helped me keep my head up, and especially you. I truly feel like I have the support of someone great," I said sincerely. His eyes began to tear up, so I moved forward and embraced him. After breaking the hug,
"Thanks, Mr. Choudhary" I said, and he smiled, nodding his head.
"It's your generosity, Sir" he replied.
"No, it's your loyalty to our company" I insisted.
"Okay, you take care of the arrangements here. I have to go with Dadisa to Maa Durga's temple" I said, and he nodded in agreement.
I headed to Dadisa's chamber and knocked. She gestured for me to come in, and I entered. She was ready, wearing a light blue silk saree with a ruby brooch attached to her left pallu. I smiled at her.
"Jaisa ki hum hamesha kehte hain, hamari Dadisa ke jaisa khoobsurat koi bhi nahi hai" I said. (As I always say, there's no one more beautiful than my Dadisa.)
She giggled. "Huh, just wait some more time. After you get married, you'll say this to your wife"
"There are many beautiful women in the world, but none more beautiful than my Dadisa" I replied, and she patted my head.
"Now, stop with your compliments, we have to go" she said, and I nodded. Taking her hand in mine, we walked out of the palace. The driver opened the door, and we got into the car.
After some time...
We arrived at the temple, and I assisted Dadisa up the stairs. Devi Maa's murti looked absolutely magnificent and mesmerizing. After taking our blessings, we drove back to the palace.Once we arrived, I discussed some important matters with Mr. Choudhary and signed a few papers regarding the palace.
At Night
As the sun set, the beautiful orange and pink hues painted the sky, enhancing the elegance of the palace, which was adorned with lights and candles. The moon and stars made their appearance, signaling the arrival of guests.
Soon, the venue filled with attendees, each one congratulating me, filling my chest with a sense of pride and honor. The press began to ask questions.
"Prince Aditya Singh Rathore, who is the inspiration behind the project?" one reporter inquired.
"My Dadisa, and of course my parents, who are watching over me from above as I achieve my goals and maintain the legacy of the kingdom of Udaipur" I replied proudly.
"When will the project be finished?" another asked.
"Soon" I answered.
Just then, Mr. Choudhary approached me. "Sir, it's time to cut the ribbon. This way, please." I excused myself, and my bodyguards shielded me as I made my way to the stage amidst the press's persistent questions. I looked toward Dadisa and gestured for her to join me on stage. She smiled and came forward, taking my hand.
Together, we cut the ribbon, and the crowd erupted in applause. I touched Dadisa's feet to seek her blessings, and she smiled down at me.
"Now, I invite Prince Aditya Singh Rathore to say a few words on the success of the project" the announcer declared.
I stood in front of the microphone, my heart swelling with gratitude.
"Thank you, everyone, for joining me in this celebration. The credit goes to my Dadisa. She has always stood by my side and encouraged me to be a better person. Since I was a child, she has been my inspiration. When she was young, she contributed to the company, and what I am today is due to her unwavering support. She pushed me to move forward. She's a true inspiration to me. I gathered courage from her, and she has stood by me in every aspect of my life. So, I proudly dedicate this success to her."
"Come, Dadisa, say a few words" I invited her to the microphone. She smiled, took my right hand, and began her speech.
"Today, I'm filled with joy as my grandson achieves his dreams. When his grandfather and I started this company, we never expected it to grow so large in such a short time. After his grandfather, his father took over, and now it's him. I am so proud and happy that he is continuing the legacy of our family and this kingdom. On this joyous occasion, I would like to make an important announcement- Prince Aditya Singh Rathore will be coronated on the occasion of Diwali" Her words stunned me, my eyes widened in surprise. I had always known my coronation was on the horizon, but I hadn't anticipated it to be this soon. She assured me with her warm gaze and gentle smile, and I nodded my head.
As she finished her speech, everyone rose to their feet, clapping and smiling. I embraced her tightly, feeling her emotions wash over me. I wiped her tears away as she patted my head, and we walked off the stage. My hands filled with bouquets, I handed them to Mr kumar, who set them aside.
"Congratulations, Prince Aditya Singh Rathore, on this huge success and your upcoming coronation!" businessman Sharad Singh approached me, extending his hand.
"Thanks, Mr. Sharad" I replied, shaking his hand."Congrats, Prince Aditya Singh Rathore!" "Congratulations, Prince Aditya Rathore!" "Congratulations, Prince Aditya. Badi Ranisa has chosen the perfect time for the coronation" chimed in a prince from another royal family.
Guests continued to approach me, each expressing their best wishes, laughter and joy filling the air. The royal dancers and musicians began entertaining the crowd, showcasing Rajasthani folk dance and music. While chatting with some business partners, a loud thud suddenly caught my attention. I turned around, and everyone gasped. My heart began to race as I rushed toward the stairs.
