Vandita's pov

The sun started rising and I woke up by the chirping of the birds , when I opened my eyes , a bright smile crept on my face and I looked towards the window of my Chamber , I went towards the window and saw the beautiful sun shining brightly as usual , I joined my hands together to take the blessings of the sun , I couldn't believe that the day I was waiting for so long has finally come , i looked at my mehndi , the color came out very dark and pretty , i smiled looking at it , then I heard the attendees entering the room with Maa sa and dadisa , I smiled looking at them , dadisa came and kissed my forehead , I smiled at her. Then Maa sa also came and does the same and said

Maa sa - Today you're going to be the wife of Prince Ranvijay and the future Queen of Rajgarh, my princess ( she said smiling softly at me )

Dadisa - yes my child , from now on you'll have double responsibilities on your shoulders ( she said getting emotional ) , show me your mehndi

I showed her my mehndi and she smiled widely along with Maa sa

Their eyes started getting teary , I hugged both of them and wiped off their tears , dadisa took my hands and kissed them , maa sa smiled looking at us and I knew she was hiding her tears behind this beautiful smile of hers , I hugged her and she hugged me back, she broke the hug

" Stop making me cry now and get ready , attendees , help her getting ready, Badi Maa sa and I will come later to check on her " She said

Attendees - Yes Queen !!

Maa sa and dadisa left the chamber

Then I went to take a bath , Attendees washed my hairs properly and added some essential oils in the water , after I finished my bath , I came out of the bathing room and an attendee dried my hairs using an ash pot , then Maa sa and Radhika came with some ladies and brought my wedding lehenga , I awestrucked as I looked at my wedding lehenga , I've seen it before but as I was looking at it today it was looking a lot more beautiful than before , I wore it in my dressing room , the attendees helped me wearing it , it fitted my curves perfectly, I came back into my chamber , the ladies and Radhika made me Sit up on the chair and I started getting ready , Radhika did my makeup and the ladies made me wear my neckpiece , hathphool , anklets , golden bangles with red glass bangles , waist chain , maangteeka , nosering and earrings . Radhika setted up the dupatta on my head and placed the bindi on the center of my eyebrows , I looked myself in the mirror, an automatic smile came to my face , I looked at radhika through the mirror and she smiled at me and kissed my forehead , I closed my eyes feeling the moment .

I said

" Today I feel as if you're my elder sister "

I said and she laughed

" well , sometimes you also need some care like a younger sister " She said smiling

I smiled

Then Maa sa came and looked at me , she smiled , kissed my forehead

" Prince Ranvijay and the procession are on their way to Nirgarh , they'll reach

here soon " She said smiling softly

My heart started beating fastly hearing the news , I smiled thinking that he would reach soon

Attendees left and only me , maa sa and radhika were talking with each other in my chamber that's when pitaji , chacha sa , chachisa and dadisa came .

I smiled looking at them , all of them patted my head and smiled , I smiled back and pitaji said

" you are now becoming a wife and later a queen , always keep your priorities set and stand for the righteousness , that's the first duty of a queen "

I smiled and nodded , then pitaji gave me something and said

" Vandita , take this sword as a gift , this is one of the most precious swords of our family and I want you to take this with you"

I touched the sword to my head and said

" This is the most precious gift I've ever received pitaji , I'll never let down the legacy of Nirgarh "

He patted my head with a soft smile on his face and I smiled back

Then they all left , only radhika and me were in the chamber that's when maa sa came and informed me

" Vandita , it's time to go " Her eyes teary but she forced a smile on her face , I went towards her and wiped her tears , she kissed my forehead lovingly

My heart suddenly started racing and I looked at radhika , she assured me with her eyes that it's going to be fine , I nodded and Maa sa and radhika took me with them

As I was walking down the galleries I was observing everything in the palace , and trying to capture every wall , every corner of the palace in my heart , mind and soul

As I reached towards the wedding hall , it was decorated beautifully with flowers , everyone in the way was smiling warmly at me , as I reached closer towards the wedding hall , I noticed him , standing tall , wearing a white colored wedding sherwani with a red colored overcoat and a shawl placed perfectly on his right shoulder , an emerald brooch attached on the left side of his sherwani with royal pagdi on his head and sword in his left hand , looking absolutely handsome as always , smiling at me , I smiled back and as I reached near him , he took my hand and my heart started racing insanely , I looked at him and our eyes locked , he smiled lovingly at me and made me walk towards the wedding mandap

Panditji was sitting in front of us and we sat opposite to him , then we touched his feet to take blessing , he blessed us and started the ceremony

The holy fire was just as bright as the sun itself , we joined our hands as panditji started chanting mantras

He started putting herbs in the holy fire while reciting the mantras

We closed our eyes and started to pray to our demi Gods

Then he said

" Now it's time to take pheras ( the sacred vows ) , I looked at Ranvijay and he also looked at me and smiled

We stood up and started taking rounds while chanting the mantras behind the panditji

For the 1st phera , we seek the divine blessings of the God , he vows to always provide for me and his family while I promise to share the load and responsibilities equally.

For the 2nd phera , he vows to stand by me in all situations, be it sickness or health and I promise to be his strength and also asks for his undivided love and attention in return .

For the 3rd phera , we pray the almighty to bless us with everything for a comfortable and prosperous life and loyalty to each other.

For the 4th phera , we promise to please each other in every possible way and thank each other for completing each other's life and also pledge to respect each other's family too .

For the 5th phera , we pray for the healthy and noble children and promise to be good parents to our children .

For the 6th phera , we pray for a healthy and prosperous life , and be each other's strength and fulfill our responsibilities towards each other's families .

For the 7th phera , we promise to be friends for life and stand by each other through thick and thin and an enriching relationship with a lots of love .

After the pheras , we sat again and panditji started chanting some mantras

Then he said

" Now take the vermilion and fill it in the partition of her hair "

He took the pinch of vermilion in his fingers and filled my maang ( the partition of my hair ) After lifting up my veil

I closed my eyes , and tears started filling in my eyes , a little vermilion fell on my nose , I got emotional by this sweet moment , finally I became his wife , his other half who would stick through his thick and thin in every aspects of his life , our eyes locked and he had an assuring smile on his face

Then the panditji said

" Now you both are Husband and Wife , take blessings from your elders "

We stood up and Ranvijay took my hand in his , we went out of the wedding hall , took blessings from our parents and Maa sa came and took me with her back to my room, the celebration started and the guests were enjoying themselves

I had time till the next morning and then we would leave for Rajgarh

The sun setted , All the guests were resting in their chambers and I was in my chamber with radhika when Maa sa , chachisa and dadisa came

Maa sa kissed my forehead and said

" put your both feet in front "

I did as she said and she made me wear toe rings in my two middle toes and said

" Now you're a married woman and it's my responsibility to gift them to you , it's a sign of a married woman which comes with a lot of responsibilities , never take them

off "

I nodded and she smiled

Dadisa said

" tomorrow morning , you have to leave early , I want to talk to you a lot but you have a hectic day tomorrow "

I smiled and said

" but dadisa , we can talk for some time and then I'll sleep "

She smiled widely and hugged me

" my child "

Then Chachisa said

" when I look back at the time , you were so small and see you today , all grown up , got married " She said as her eyes filled with tears .

I hugged her and she patted my head

Then we talked for atleast 2 hours and then we all slept on my bed.

                   The Next Morning

I opened my eyes by the sound of the birds chirping , my whole body ached because of the uncomfortable position I slept in , but i applied the balm , I got up from my bed in my heavy wedding lehenga , I didn't change it and slept in it , then I looked around and noticed that everyone was up , maa sa , dadisa and radhika left already, then I decided to take a bath , the attendees came and helped me taking the bath , as i started to wear my blouse my feet got unbalanced and i slipped , and i got a small  cut on my back because of the sharp object that was already present in the ground , i groaned in pain and an attendee hurriedly came and helped in lifting me up , she ran and came back with an ointment and a bandage in her hands and applied the ointment and the bandage , i thanked her , she helped me wearing my wedding lehenga again as I had to be present in the same attire for the welcome ceremony in Rajgarh, another attendee started drying my hair using an ash pot , my body was aching but I decided to shift my focus on getting myself ready , then I heard Radhika's anklets approaching my chamber , I looked at my side and found her coming with a plate of food in her hands , she approached me and smiled

I said

" where you all went early in the morning leaving me alone ?"

She said

" because there were a lot of preparations we needed to do and look after the guests , so we went to check if everything is fine and ready for your departure "

I nodded

She said

" di , come and have something , you must be hungry "

I said

" yeah coming , give me 2 minutes "

Then I wore my wedding bangles , necklace , anklets , waistchain , maangteeka , nosering , and bindi

I smiled looking myself in the mirror and took the vermilion pot in my hands , took a pinch of vermilion and filled my maang .

I smiled satisfactorily and went towards my couch where radhika was sitting and the food was placed in front of the table

" Di , you're looking so ethereal " She complimented me and I smiled looking at her as the blush started making my face slightly pinkish

" thanks , my love " I replied and she smiled

" Now , open your mouth " She said and I did

She started feeding me carefully not to ruin my attire and look

I caressed her hair and smiled at her

After feeding me , she washed her hands and said

" di , aap yahan rukhiye hum maa sa ko bulake laate hain "

( di , you wait here , I will call maa sa )

I nodded and she went out

I was remembering everything this palace gave me , the amount of comfort , warmth , happiness , love , everything .

Maa sa came with dadisa and radhika

She smiled and hugged me , followed by dadisa and radhika

I hugged them back

Maa sa covered my face with the veil and said

" Come , my princess , it's time to go "

I was feeling every emotions at that time , happiness , excitement , love , sorrow , nervousness , fear , everything

As I walked towards the main hall passing through all the galleries of the palace , my heart was pounding insanely inside my chest

I started to take long breaths to calm down my heart

When we reached the Main hall , I saw everyone present there, Pitaji and chacha sa were talking to the guests , everyone saw me and pitaji came to me , took my hand in his and I followed behind with Maa sa , dadisa and chachisa . Radhika stood beside me .

Pitaji said

" my child , it's time for the departure " He said and kissed my forehead

I nodded as tears filled my eyes , it was a very hard moment for me to leave everything behind

But I somehow controlled myself

                       Ranvijay's pov

In the morning , after getting ready , Abhimanyu came to my chamber and approached me

" Bhaisa , by which time we'll be leaving for Rajgarh "

I said

" I also wanted to ask pitaji about that "

Abhimanyu said

" then let's go and ask him "

I nodded and we left

We reached in their chamber , him and Maa sa were having their morning tea  , we touched their feets for the blessing , they smiled at us , pitaji stood up and said

" Son , now you got married , I think it's time for your coronation ceremony " his face showed proud , and a sense of pride tagging along

I smiled and said

" Pardon me , pitaji , but isn't it a little too early "

" No , I think it's the perfect time , now it's your time to take all the

responsibilities " He said

I nodded and he said

" we'll ask our family priest for the perfect date for the coronation "

Abhimanyu excitedly said

" yes pitaji , I'm so excited "

We all laughed

Maa sa kissed my forehead and I smiled

" Now let's go and have something, you must be hungry " She said and we nodded

Just when my father in law approached us with his brother and other family members

Pitaji and him hugged each other and I touched his feet for the blessings

He smiled and blessed me

" Maharaj Vijaysingh , I came to say that everyone is waiting for you in the dining hall for the breakfast "

Pitaji nodded and said

" Ji Maharaj Suryapratap , we were just coming "

And then we all went towards the dining area for the breakfast , after having breakfast , I heard the anklets approaching towards the dining area and I knew she was coming , I smiled

She came , looking absolutely gorgeous and elegant, I didn't notice but abhimanyu said

" Bhaisa , your cheeks are getting red "

That's when I touched my cheeks and realized Abhimanyu was right , she already had that effect on me

He started teasing me but I shut him up , he stopped

Then , my father in law came in front of us and she touched my parents feet and took their blessing

After some time

                       Vandita's pov

We bid our goodbyes to my family , I hugged maa sa , chachi sa and dadisa and went towards pitaji and chacha sa to take their blessings , we started walking towards the main entrance of the palace and there were a lot of pallenquins present there , for me , radhika and my attendees , I saw the royal horses of the princes and the chariot of the king and the queen

I looked last time towards my family and went towards the pallenquin, radhika standing beside me , as i moved my feet towards the pallenquin, i couldn't move , i was having difficulty in climbing on the pallenquin as my wedding lehenga was very heavy , that's when Ranvijay came and took me in his arms and made me climb up the pallenquin, everyone got shocked but later understood and smiled

I was feeling embarrassed as it was a bold move in front of everyone but radhika approached me and blinked her eyes in assurance that it was not a big deal and everyone is ok with what happened, I relieved . Radhika came and sat in my pallenquin as she was going with me for 2 days , and all my attendees were sitting in other pallenquins , and we started our journey

Radhika - I can't believe you are going away from us di

I smiled sadly and cupped her cheeks

She smiled and said

" but it's ok , I'll come and meet you secretly "

I laughed hearing her and said

" you can come anytime you want , you don't need to meet me secretly "

She smiled and nodded

It was a long journey so I decided to get some sleep as I woke up a little early today , radhika also slept

                              In evening

I woke up hearing the noises , radhika already woke up , I smiled at her and she smiled back

" di , we have reached "

I removed the curtains from my view and saw the palace of Rajgarh in front of my eyes , standing strong and tall . It was so huge and beautiful , as I looked around I saw the beautiful kingdom of Rajgarh in front of my eyes

I smiled looking at the view , the pallenquin stopped and my attendees helped me climb down the pallenquin

Radhika was holding my hand and I couldn't see properly as my face was covered with my veil

I tried to look a little and saw Ranvijay and Abhimanyu getting down off their horses

The Queen ( mother in law - Maa sa ) was waiting on the Main entrance with the plate of Aarti, Ranvijay came to me and held my hand , I couldn't see his face but I could tell he was smiling at me , we moved forward and touched the feets of the king and the queen to take their blessings , they gave us their blessings

And said

" Always be happy and become an unforgettable future king and queen "

I smiled after hearing them , maa sa welcomed us by the Aarti and hugged me , I smiled , radhika was standing beside me

We came inside the palace and Maa sa said

" take the bride to her chamber and also show princess radhika her chamber "

Then they approached me and I looked at Ranvijay, he nodded his head and i followed , radhika following me behind .

I walked through two big galleries , passed a beautiful garden with fresh flowers and trees loaded with fruits , I smiled as i observed every detail of the palace , after walking for 15 minutes , we finally arrived at a seperate chamber, it was located on the other side of the palace after crossing the garden , it had three floors with big , strong and powerful pillars supporting it from all the four directions , camel colored chamber decorated with flowers and diyas , beautiful designs carved on the walls , the windows covered with  white colored silk curtains , paintings and crockeries enhancing the beauty of the chamber , a beautiful chandelier attached in the middle of the ceiling , Rangolis were made on the each floor with bright colors giving a fresh look on the beauty of the chamber , the architecture giving a strong and powerful facade , the pictures of the ancestors hanged on the walls with pride and glory , as I reached on the second floor , the attendees opened the gate of the boudoir and I followed them , as I entered the boudoir  , I saw it was decorated beautifully in candle lights and fresh flowers ,the sweet and fragrant smell reaching my nose instantly , I smiled looking at the bedroom area

Radhika came to me and excitedly said

" wow di , this chamber is so beautiful "

I smiled and said

" indeed it is "

Then she said

" ok di , you take rest , it's already late , I'm also going to sleep "

I said " have your dinner before going to sleep "

She nodded and left

And I went towards the bed and sat on it , the whole bed was decorated with the flowers , I smiled shyly , touching the bed sheets , then I looked at the side and saw a beautiful mirror , I approached it and saw his things placed perfectly on the mirror table , I picked up his perfume and smelled it , it was smelling just like him , an automatic smile crept on my face , the interior was perfect , everything was perfect in his chamber just like him

I blushed thinking about him and went towards the window to look outside view of Rajgarh , the moon was shining brightly , the stars were twinkling and the cool wind hitting my face , I closed my eyes feeling the moment
